Botox has been a most used beauty method to remove wrinkles and expression lines since 2002, today Botox remains to be the most popular non-surgical procedure used to leave the skin looking healthier and younger.
At our beauty salon in Preston our Botox treatment is a popular anti-aging treatment for removing wrinkles and age lines.
Botox (Botulinum Toxin) has been used by clinicians for years for a range of medical purposes. Botox has been used as a non surgical alternative to help people with increased muscle movements, as well as prevent chronic headaches in adults.
Originally to help people with chronic pain, Botox was approved in 2002 to be used as a cosmetic treatment for reducing excessive sweating as well as reduce wrinkles and expression lines. In recent years, this non-surgical treatment has been the popular solution to help turn back the time and reduce the notorious crow’s feet.
At our beauty salon we have trained Botox specialists who visit Glow Beauty Centre regularly to provide Botox treatments.
Before you have your treatment you can have a consultation with your specialist to discuss what you want to achieve. At Glow Beauty Centre it is important to us that you feel comfortable and discuss any concerns with our specialists.
Botox is injected directly into the facial muscles to help relax them and block nerve impulses, reducing the movement and in turn reducing and relaxing the lines and the effects of wrinkles in the target area.
These wrinkles are usually most evident and noticeable around the eyes and mouth due to the facial movements of smiling and frowning. Most common areas that are injected are:
• Forehead lines
• The area around the eyes (‘crow’s feet’)
• The frowning lines between the eyebrows (glabella)
The effect of Botox injections isn’t permanent and will need to have constant maintaining. Each treatment will last three to six months and lines will appear less severe than previously.
